Jean-François Leuba

Jean-François Leuba (born July 16, 1934 in Lausanne ; † October 22, 2004 ibid) was a doctor of law , lawyer and Swiss politician ( LPS ). He was a member of the Zofingia and is the father of Philippe Leuba .

Leuba initially served as Justice and Police Director in the Cantonal Government of Vaud from 1978 to 1990 . From 1987 to 1998 he was in the National Council and from 1991 to 1994 he was President of the Liberal parliamentary group. In December 1995 he was elected President of the National Council for one year . In 1997 the state government appointed him President of the Inter-Jurassic Assembly , which he headed until 2002. Leuba died on the night of October 21-22, 2004 at the age of 70.

His son, Philippe Leuba , is also involved in politics.
