Jean-François Poron (born May 6, 1936 ) is a French actor .

Life

Jean-François Poron received his acting training at the Cours Simon .

He made his film debut in 1954 in a small role in Marcel Carné's L'air de Paris . His first leading role was Alain in Hervé Bromberger's Les Loups dans la bergerie (1960). Poron played leading roles as Duke of Nemours alongside Marina Vlady in The Princess of Cleve in the early 1960s , as Daniel alongside Annie Girardot in Behind Stranger Windows and the double role of the twin brothers Henri and Louis XIV. In the Dumas film adaptation The Iron Mask (1962) . He played Andrei Bulba, son of Taras Bulba , in The Cossacks Come (1963) and in the sequel Le fils de Taras Bulba (1964). His best-known later films include Raphaël ou le Débauché (1971) by Michel Deville , in which he plays - this time in a supporting role - the hero's friend ( Maurice Ronet ), and Strafkommando Charlie Bravo (1980) with Bruno Pradal .
