Jean-François Soitoux
Jean-François Soitoux (born September 5, 1824 in Besançon , † May 21, 1891 in Paris ) was a French sculptor .
life and work
Jean-François Soitoux was a student of Jean-Jacques Feuchère and David d'Angers . In 1850 he made his debut at the salon with the statue " La République " and received first prize for it, but the execution and installation of the sculpture was delayed until 1880. In the same year he was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor (Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur) appointed.
