Jean-Jacques Aillagon (born October 2, 1946 in Metz ) is a French politician and former director of the French television channel TV5 Monde .

Life

Aillagon was born in Metz in 1946. After completing his studies, he worked as a university lecturer from 1972 to 1976 in the Corrèze department at the Egletons and Tulle lycées . In 1981 Aillagon became deputy head of the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris . From 1982 to 2002 he worked as a manager at the Center Georges Pompidou in Paris . Aillagon was Minister of Culture and Communication in France from May 7, 2002 to March 2004. He is the current president of the Établissement public de Versailles and was previously head of the Palazzo Grassi in Venice . Aillagon was General Manager of the French television channel TV5 Monde from 2005 to 2006 . He is openly gay.
