Jean-Kasongo Banza (born June 26, 1974 in Kinshasa ) is a former Congolese football player .

Career

The striker began his career at AS Vita Club Kinshasa in Congo and moved to Turkey in 1996 for Gençlerbirliği Ankara . Other stations were Chunnam Dragons and Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in South Korea before he moved to VfL Wolfsburg in 1999 and played eleven games in the Bundesliga . In the following season he joined MSV Duisburg in the 2nd Bundesliga for a short time . From 2001 the attacker played in Tunisia for CS Sfaxien and Olympique de Béjà .

With the national team of the Congo Kasongo Banza took part in the African Championships in South Africa in 1996 , in Burkina Faso in 1998 and in Ghana and Nigeria in 2000 .
