The Stockton Arena is a multi-purpose arena in the US city of Stockton in the state of California . The building is owned by the city at a cost of 63 million US dollars .
history
The arena, inaugurated at the end of 2005, offers 8,600 to 12,000 seats, depending on the event. She owns u. a. 24 luxury suites , a club area with 344 club seats, a video cube with four screens and an electronic ticket system. It was designed by the architecture firm 360 Architecture . The University Plaza Waterfront Hotel is adjacent to the Stockton Arena, and the Banner Island Ballpark is just a few meters away ; home of the Stockton Ports ( minor league baseball ) baseball team . They are part of the Waterfront Entertainment Complex .
The Stockton Arena has been home to the Stockton Heat ice hockey team from the AHL and the California Cougars from the indoor soccer league PASL-Pro since 2015 . From 2005 to 2009, the Stockton Lightning arena football team played their games indoors ; In addition, the Stockton Thunder from the ECHL were active in the arena from 2005 to 2015 . In the first sporting event on December 10, 2005, Stockton Thunder beat the Phoenix RoadRunners 4-0. In 2008 the arena was the venue for the ECHL All-Star Game and in 2009 the California Cougars won the PASL Pro Championship in their own hall.
