Axel Pretzsch (born June 16, 1976 in Hamburg ) is a former German tennis player .

The two-time German youth champion Pretzsch reached his highest position in the world tennis ranking on January 14th, 2002 with the 99th place. On April 7, 2003, he was listed in the double ranking at 318th place. In the tennis Bundesliga he played for Blau-Weiß Halle , Rot-Weiß Hagen and Iphitos Munich . In 2007 he took over the coaching position at SV Halstenbek-Rellingen , for which he also works as a player.
