Jean-Luc Bleunven (born December 20, 1958 in Plabennec , Brittany ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2012 .

After various activities, Bleunven returned to his native Plabennec to work as a farmer. As such, he was involved in the Confédération Paysanne farmers' union . In 1985, other voluntary activities encouraged him to successfully run for a seat on the Plabennec municipal council. In 2008 he was elected mayor of the municipality. In the 2012 parliamentary elections , Bleunven ran as a divers gauche (independent leftist) in the third constituency of the Finistère department and entered the second round alongside the conservative previous MP Marguerite Lamour and the Green candidate . He benefited from the withdrawal of the Greens and was able to prevail against Lamour in the second round with 52.3%.
