Jean-Paul Yontcha (born May 15, 1983 in Yaoundé ) is a former Cameroonian football player .

Career

Yontcha started his career in his home country Cameroon, where he played in the senior division between 2000 and 2002 at Sahel FC de Maroua , Sable FC de Batie and Tiko United .

In January 2003 he finally moved to Algeria , where he joined CA Bordj Bou Arreridj . There he scored nine goals in only eleven games in the Algerian Division 1, which made him the best foreign goalscorer of the 2002/03 season in Algeria.

After a good three years with CA Bordj Bou Arreridj, Yontcha moved to al-Sadd SC in Qatar in January 2006 . At the end of the season he was able to celebrate winning the Qatar Championship and the Qatar Crown Prince Cup with the club . For the 2006/07 season he was loaned to competitor Al-Khor SC , where he scored eight league goals.

After his time in Qatar, Yontcha played mainly for Portuguese clubs, with a short interlude in Albania , with KF Elbasani , in 2015.

Before that, the striker played in Romania in the 2008/09 season at CS Otopeni , with whom he was relegated from League 1 .

On November 14, 2012 he made his debut for the Cameroonian national soccer team in the friendly against Albania . This was his only international match.
