Jean-Philippe Dayraut (born April 14, 1970 in Toulouse ) is a French racing driver and motorsport official.

Career in motorsport

Jean-Philippe Dayraut began his career in the French monoposto sport in the late 1990s . In 1999 he won the overall ranking of Formula France , a French junior series. The following year he got into touring car racing and in a short time became one of the top drivers in the French championship. After finishing second overall behind William David in 2000, the championship success followed in 2001.

In the further course of his career, Dayraut was active in a wide variety of racing series. He became champion in the Peugeot RC Cup in 2004 and celebrated successes in the Porsche Carrera Cup France , the Renault Mégane Trophy and the French GT championship .

He had international races in the International GT Open , where he finished second in the GTS class in 2010, and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans , where he drove a Chrysler Viper GTS-R in 2001 until it retired due to an accident. In 2013 he competed in two races in the World Touring Car Championship and became the second most successful starter in the Andros Trophy with four overall victories behind Yvan Muller .

In addition to his racing activities, Dayraut is also active as a functionary. Among other things, he is the manager of the Circuit d'Albi .
