David Terrien

David Terrien (born October 27, 1976 in Nantes ) is a French racing car driver .

Career

David Terrien began his career in karting . In 1993 he became world champion in Formula A, was also vice European champion in this class and second in the overall ranking of the French elite championship.

In 1996 he switched to the monoposto scene and rode a Mygale SJ96 for Graff Racing . In 1998 he got promoted to Formula 3 and remained a works driver at Graff Racing. In the French Formula 3 championship he reached third place in the championship on a Dallara 396 at the end of the year. In 1999 he drove one season in Formula 3000 and made his debut at the Le Mans 24-hour race. Terrien drove a Lola B98 / 19 from the French DAMS team. His partners were Christophe Tinseau and Franck Montagny . The trio did not finish after an engine failure. In a total of four starts at the Sarthe to date, he only crossed the finish line once when he was 25th overall in a Ferrari 360 Modena GT in 2003 .

In the 2000s he competed in the FIA GT championship . In 2002, he celebrated his greatest success in motorsport to date with overall victory in the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race . He also won together with Christian Pescatori the 2: 30-hour race at the Nurburgring 2000 . Terrien has competed regularly in the Speedcar Series since 2008 .
