Jean-Pierre Darroussin (born December 4, 1953 in Courbevoie ) is a French actor .

Life

From 1976 to 1979 Jean-Pierre Darrousin studied acting at the film school Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique , together with Catherine Frot and Ariane Ascaride . With Frot he founded the theater group Compagnie au Chapeau Rouge and through Ascaride he met the director Robert Guédiguian , for whom he had been with Ki lo sa? stood in front of the camera in eleven films. Since his debut in the comedy That's It For Me , Darroussin has received five nominations for the French César Film Award , including 1997 for his role in Typical Family! was recognized as best supporting actor.
