Jean-Pierre Dionnet (born November 25, 1947 in Paris ) is a French comic book writer and scenario writer.

life and work

Dionnet spent the first five years of his life in the Creuse department .

In 1968 he came to the French comic magazine Pilote at the invitation of Philippe Druillet and began to write scenarios and texts - especially science fiction - for Solé , Got, Druillet , Moebius , Goetzinger , Bilal . In 1970 he began to publish a series of comics in Editions Nathan - a forerunner of Métal Hurlant . In 1971 he became editor-in-chief of the journal L'Echo des Savanes produced by Nikita Mandryka , bringing young writers and draftsmen with mass, Petillon, Wallace Wood. He thought about producing Métal Hurlant here, but Mandryka refused and asked him to start his journal on his own.

In January 1975 he founded the publishing house Les Humanoïdes Associés with Mœbius, Druillet and Bernard Farkas and publishes the comic journal Métal Hurlant , which also appeared on the German market under the name Schwermetall .

Dionnet broke new ground in 1986 after he left Humanoïdes Associés : He went to television and produced the cinema program Cinéstars , a daily night program on Skyrock and a weekly chronicle for Télérama on TF1 . At the same time, however, he remains loyal to the comic and develops scenarios and writes for the cartoonists Bilal, Beb Deum , Jean-Claude Gal , Michel Pirus , Frank Margerin , Denis Sire and Laurent Theureau .

In 1989 Jean-Pierre Dionnet was briefly literary director of the comic publisher Albin Michel BD. And for television he does the program Cinéma de Quartier on Canal +, which has been broadcast for 15 years, and for cable television the programs Le Club , Destination séries etc. From 2003 he writes again and leads the series Exterminateur 17 , which Enki Bilal had started and continued from Igor Barenko. In 2009 he began working on various film projects and developing a megalomaniac comic series in which a dozen comic artists were supposed to tell the story of America from 1929 to 2133.
