Jean-Victor Bertin
Jean-Victor Bertin (born March 20, 1767 in Paris , † June 11, 1842 ibid) was a French painter and one of the most famous landscape painters of his time.
Life
Jean-Victor Bertin was born in Paris on March 20, 1767, the son of a wig maker .
From 1785 he studied in Paris at the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture ( Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture ) painting with Gabriel François Doyen (1726–1806). Later he was also a student of Pierre-Henri de Valenciennes (1750-1819).
From 1793 he exhibited his paintings regularly in the Salon de Paris ( Paris Salon ), in 1808 he was even awarded a gold medal.

- Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot (1796–1875),
- Charles-François Daubigny (1817–1878),
- André Jolivard (1787-1851) and
- Achille Etna Michallon (1796-1822).
Jean-Victor Bertin died on June 11, 1842 at the age of 75 in Paris.
