Jean Egen
Jean Egen (born August 23, 1920 in Lautenbach , † December 21, 1995 in Paris ) was an Alsatian journalist and author . His stage name Egen is derived from his family name Egensperger .
He was in Germany with its strong autobiographical colored novel The Linden of Lautenbach known, which was printed in millions of copies, including at Morstadt publisher , the Rowohlt publishing house and in part at Reader's Digest . The novel was filmed in 1982 under the same title, u. a. with Mario Adorf as an actor. The linden trees still stand on the forecourt of the Romanesque collegiate church from the 12th century.
In France he was known as an employee of Le Monde , but also through his occasional collaboration on the satirical magazine Le Canard enchaîné .
