Jean Estager
Jean Estager (born August 3, 1919 - † April 9, 2002 ) was a French racing car driver .
Career
Jean Estager was active as a rally and circuit racing driver in the 1940s and 1950s. His greatest success in rally sport was the overall victory at the Acropolis Rally in 1957 in a Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Pininfarina and his wife Simone as co-driver.
On the circuit he had his first appearance at the 12-hour race in Paris in 1948 , where he and Viviane Elder finished 28th overall. In 1949 he finished the Coupe du Salon in Montlhéry behind Harry Schell in second overall and was seventh in the same year with Henri Louveau in the 24 Hours of Le Mans . His greatest successes on the circuit were the third overall places at the Grand Prix de Picardie 1954 ( Maserati A6GCS ), the Grand Prix des Frontières 1955 ( Ferrari 750 Monza ) and the Tour de France for automobiles in 1958 .
