Jean-Louis Rosier (born June 14, 1925 - July 1, 2011 ) was a French racing driver . He was the son of French racing driver Louis Rosier and won the Le Mans 24-hour race together with his father in 1950 .

Career

The young Rosier made his debut in 1949 in the classic endurance race on the Sarthe. At the first race after the Second World War, he headed for his father's side a converted Talbot - seater , equipped with fenders and headlights turned into a sports car. The duo dropped out early due to a technical defect after only 21 laps. Victory followed in 1950, which was primarily achieved by Louis Rosier, who was behind the wheel most of the time. This time a Talbot-Lago T26GS served as the racing vehicle.

In 1951 and 1953, Jean-Louis Rosier competed for the small Renault works team in Le Mans, driving the small Renault 4CV . He made his last appearance in the 24-hour race in 1954 when he and Pierre Meyrat drove the 1950 winning car. The race ended prematurely after an accident.

In 1949 the two Rosiers won the class up to 1100 cc in a 4CV at the Monte Carlo Rally .
