Jean Ferréol
Jean Ferréol MER (born December 27, 1808 in Cucuron , France , † February 3, 1853 ) was a French bishop of the Paris Mission in Korea.
Life.
In 1838 he was ordained a priest of the Paris Mission and in 1839 he was sent to the Mission to Chosun. Pope Gregory XVI appointed him on August 14, 1843 Titular Bishop of Belline and Vicar Apostolic of Korea . On December 31, 1843, he was ordained bishop by Emmanuel-Jean-François Verrolles , Vicar Apostolic of Manchuria. He died at the age of 44.
