Jean Pâques

Jean Pâques (* 16th September 1901 in Liege as Jean-Pierre Paque ; † 19th April 1974 ) was a Belgian musician ( piano , composition ) in the field of jazz and popular music .

Live and act

From the late 1920s, Pâques played with Gregoire Nakchounian and His Russian North Star Orchestra in Berlin, with whom he recorded for Vox (“Brotherly Love”). In the following years he worked in London a. a. with Sid Phillips & His Melodians and with singers Al Bowlly , Billy Elliott and Belle Dyson ; He also recorded novelty and ragtime numbers such as “Flapperette” as a soloist . From 1959 he presented easy listening productions such as Nuages, Jean Paques et sa Musique Douce and the Piano Bar series for record labels such as Decca Records , Vega, Disques Vogue and Ariola . He also wrote titles such as “Pianotes”, “Sérénade d'Amour” and “Vous seule”.
