Jean Rémond

Jean Rémond (born July 9, 1922 in Charolles , Saône-et-Loire , France ; † February 21, 2009 ) was auxiliary bishop of the Mission de France .

Life

Jean Rémond was ordained a priest on March 25, 1950. In 1975 Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of Utimma and ordered him auxiliary bishop of the French missionary society , the territorial prelate of the Mission de France , based in Pontigny . He was ordained bishop on June 14, 1975 by François Cardinal Marty , Archbishop of Paris and Prelate of the Mission de France; Co- consecrators were Jacques Le Cordier , Bishop of Saint-Denis, and Marius-Félix-Antoine Maziers , Archbishop of Bordeaux. In 1987 his resignation was granted by John Paul II .
