Marius-Félix-Antoine Maziers (born March 1, 1915 in Siran , Cantal department , France , † August 14, 2008 in Mauriac , Cantal) was Archbishop of Bordeaux .

Life

Marius-Félix-Antoine Maziers was ordained a priest on October 9, 1938.

On December 17, 1959, he was by Pope John XXIII. Appointed Titular Bishop of Augustopolis in Phrygia and Auxiliary Bishop in the Archdiocese of Lyon . He received his episcopal consecration on February 25, 1960, the Archbishop of Reims and later Cardinal, François Marty ; Co - consecrators were Jean-Marie Villot , Archbishop of Lyon and later Cardinal, and Auxiliary Bishop Claude Marie Joseph Dupuy from Lyon.

Pope Paul VI appointed him on January 24, 1966 titular Archbishop of Zica and appointed him to the side of Paul-Marie-André Richaud as coadjutor-Bishop of Bordeaux. With the death of his predecessor Richaud on February 5, 1968 he succeeded him as Archbishop of Bordeaux.

Pope John Paul II granted his age-related resignation on May 31, 1989.
