Jean Vernier
Jean Vernier (born July 21, 1923 in Grand-Charmont , † July 8, 2006 in Saint-Priest-en-Jarez ) was a French middle -distance runner who had specialized in the 1500-meter distance .
At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he was eliminated in advance. In 1950 he was eighth at the European Athletics Championships in Brussels , and in 1952 he did not get past the first round again at the Olympic Games in Helsinki .
In 1947 he became French champion. He set his personal best of 3: 48.6 minutes on June 2, 1949 in Paris .
His twin brother Jacques Vernier was successful as a long-distance runner.
