Johann August "Jean" Weiss (born November 1, 1890 in Großauheim near Hanau ; † January 21, 1978 there ) was a German racing cyclist .

Jean Weiss was a professional cyclist from 1909 to 1927 and was one of the best German professional cyclists on the track after the First World War . In 1919 and 1921 he finished second in the German Stayer Championship , and in 1920 third. He started as a works driver for the nearby Opel plant , which contractually obliged him to "[...] lead a decent lifestyle for the duration of this agreement and always stand up for the reputation of Adam Opel in Rüsselsheim".

Weiss was a trained lathe operator. After finishing his cycling career, however, he remained connected to the Opel plant and opened a car dealership with a workshop in his home town of Großauheim as an Opel dealer.
