Every day, New Year's Eve is a German-language pop - band from Bad Oldesloe .
history
Bertram Ulrich, Niclas Jawinsky, Till Krohn and Tom Rieken met in 2008 at a district festival in Bad Oldesloe. At first, songs by artists such as Lenny Kravitz or Jan Delay were covered under the band name “Copy Paste” . Little by little, the guys developed their own songs, which were presented live under the name “Format”. In 2010 the band decided to take a more professional approach to making music. The band name "Format" was then changed to "Every Day New Year's Eve" due to a lack of representation. The band recorded their first EP called They'll Tell About Us .
In 2011, every day New Year's Eve was booked as the opening act for Johannes Oerding . In 2012 and 2013 New Year's Eve was the opening act for some concerts on the Silbermond tour .
In 2014 the band released their first studio album. The self-titled album was produced in the Hamburg Peer Studio . Some songs were written together with Johannes Oerding . Then the band made the year 2014/15 their first small Germany tournee .
At the Bundesvision Song Contest 2015 , the band competed with the song Dein Glück for the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein and took tenth place.
Her second studio album, Geisterjägerstadt , was released on February 24, 2017, and made it into the German album charts and various download charts. In particular, the song of the same name on it received a lot of attention and achieved high streaming numbers within a short time.
The single songs Kleinstadthelden , Zwischen den Meeren und Blau from their third album Zwischen den Meeren reached various playlists on various streaming services in 2019. The album was produced by Jens Schneider in Mannheim. The band's third tour of Germany took them across Germany in November 2019.
