The 11th Bundesvision Song Contest took place on August 29, 2015 in the ÖVB-Arena in Bremen . After Revolverheld's victory last year, the state of Bremen hosted the competition for the first time. With Mark Forster and his contribution Bauch und Kopf , Rhineland-Palatinate won the competition for the first time . The next edition would take place in Rhineland-Palatinate. The ProSieben spokesman announced in 2016 that the Bundesvision Song Contest will no longer take place in the same year. It was not officially announced whether the program would be discontinued.
With 1.46 million viewers, this was the competition with the highest ratings since 2010. A brand share of 15.2% was achieved in the advertising-relevant target group.
Attendees
Some performers had already participated in earlier editions of the competition and returned in 2015: Glasperlenspiel (2011), Buddy Buxbaum (2005 as a member of Deichkind for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) and Madsen (2008).
With two points that Bavaria gave itself, Wunderkynd's Bavarian entry is the worst rated entry in the history of the Song Contest.

particularities
Geiles Leben by Glasperlenspiel is the most commercially successful BSC contribution of all time. It is also the only contribution that made it to the top of the single charts in Switzerland and was certified gold there.
In addition, the artists' albums were able to return to the charts. Among other things, Forster's current studio album was able to place itself in the top 10 of the German album charts for the first time by winning the 58th chart week .
Is also noteworthy that Namika with Hellwach debuted at position 62, while the previous single Lieblingsmensch on one of the German singles chart position jumped. The sampler for the competition was in tenth place in the German compilation charts .
