The 2nd Bundesvision Song Contest took place on February 9, 2006 in the Mittelhessen-Arena in Wetzlar . The show was moderated by Stefan Raab and Janin Reinhardt . Elton was co-host .

The second edition of the competition was won by the group Seeed with the entry Ding für Berlin, followed by the pop-rock group Revolverheld from Bremen and the medieval rock band In Extremo from Thuringia. 14 out of 16 countries gave themselves 12 points in the vote. Saxony with 10 points and North Rhine-Westphalia with 5 points did not give themselves the highest number of points.

The show was seen by an average of 2.48 million viewers (9.1% market share). In the target group of 14 to 49 year olds, 2.14 million viewers could be measured (18.3% market share).
