The Rittal Arena Wetzlar is a multifunctional hall in the Hessian city ​​of Wetzlar . The event hall, which opened in March 2005, has a maximum capacity of 6,000 spectators and an interior area of ​​2,468 m². Next to the arena is the Wetzlar train station and the Forum Wetzlar with a shared car park with 1,700 parking spaces. The facility has a direct connection to the federal highway 49 . The construction of the hall cost the city of Wetzlar around 16 million euros . The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) co-financed more than a third with over 5.6 million euros.

Until March 1st, 2006 the hall was called Mittelhessen-Arena . The naming rights were sold to Rittal , a company belonging to the Friedhelm Loh Group . The hall has been called the Rittal Arena since then . In June 2015, the expiring contract was extended into 2020.

The Rittal Arena is always the location of national and international sporting events of great importance.
