The 3rd Bundesvision Song Contest took place on February 9, 2007 in the Berlin Tempodrom . Participants were ProSieben on 28 November 2006 known. Stefan Raab began introducing the participants on January 15, 2007 in his TV total . For four weeks, the moderator presented a candidate and the corresponding country every evening . Originally the contest was not supposed to take place until Saturday, February 10th, but was brought forward by one day in order not to be in direct competition with Germany is looking for the superstar .

For the first time, with one exception (the band Beatplanet ), all participants actually came from the countries they represented. Two of the candidates had already gained experience at the Bundesvision Song Contest in 2005: Marta Jandová together with Apocalyptica and Suzie Kerstgens with Klee . At that time, however, both competed for other countries. For the first time, the later winning country did not lead continuously from the first to the last classification during the point allocation. Marta Jandová represented the Czech Republic at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna and is the only BuViSoCo winner who also competed at the ESC after taking part.

The show was moderated by Stefan Raab and Johanna Klum . In the Green Room was back Elton . There was also a performance by the band Seeed , which won the Bundesvision Song Contest 2006 . She presented the Oy Güzelim remix of her winning title Ding . The show was seen by an average of 2.04 million viewers (7.6% market share). In the target group of 14 to 49 year olds, 1.72 million viewers were measured (16.3% market share).
