Mieze Katz with Mia (2006)

Kitty (* 4. May 1979 in East Berlin ; bourgeois Maria Mummert ) is one German singer and front woman of the Berlin electro - band Mia .

Professional development and career

In 1997 Mieze Katz founded a school band with guitarist Andi Ross, with whom she attended the John Lennon High School in Berlin. Their classmate Sarah Kuttner introduced them to bassist Robert Schütze and keyboardist Ingo Puls. Together with the drummer Hannes Schulze they founded a music group and went through several name changes until the today's band name MIA., Which was derived from the former band name Me In Affairs , was determined.

In addition to her band activities, Mieze Katz also sings for and with other artists such as Virginia Jetzt! , Eizi Eiz , Melbeatz , Flexevil , Fettes Brot , Oliver Koletzki and Nhoah . She sang the title song for the German dubbed version of the cartoon Ruby Gloom .

Mieze Katz also appears in other areas.
