He is ahead of Andreas Bouranis In other ways (2014, 53 weeks) Gunslinger Let's Go (2014, 35 weeks) in the ranking . In 2014, Bourani and Revolverheld broke the record of Seeed , Peter Fox and Tim Bendzko , who were represented in the German charts for 26 weeks with their contributions in 2006, 2009 and 2011 respectively.
  • None of the participants from 2008 and 2013 could position themselves in the top 10 of the German single charts . In 2009 three participants were able to place themselves in the German top 10.

Chart successes in Austria and Switzerland

  • The single Emanuela , with which Fettes Brot competed for Schleswig-Holstein in 2005 , is so far the only song that has reached first place in the Austrian single charts. Until 2015, it was also the only BSC contribution that had been awarded gold in Austria.
  • The single Geiles Leben , with which Glasperlenspiel competed for Baden-Württemberg in 2015 , is the only song that reached first place in the Swiss single charts. It is also the only BSC contribution so far that has been awarded gold in Switzerland.
  • In 2013, for the only time so far, no contribution could be placed in the Austrian single charts.
  • All entries failed to make it into the Swiss single charts four times: 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2013.
  • 2013 thus marks the only year so far in which no title could be found beyond the German hit parade.
  • Glasperlenspiels Geiles Leben is (as in Germany) with 38 and 37 weeks respectively the longest BSC entry in the Austrian and Swiss single charts.

Relationship between start number and placement

The following table clearly shows that the best-known artists have the highest chances of winning and were therefore deliberately placed in the lower starting positions by ProSieben in order to keep the audience on the screen until the very end: More than half of all winners (six of eleven) entered with the start number 16. Furthermore, no participant in the front half of the starting positions has yet been able to achieve victory. The winners with the lowest starting number were Subway to Sally , who appeared in 2008 with the title Auf Kiel for Brandenburg as the ninth candidate of the evening.
