Eisberg is a song by the German pop singer Andreas Bourani . The piece is the second single from his debut album Staub & Fantasie .

Creation and artwork

The song was written by Andreas Bourani, Julius Hartog and Tom Olbrich. The single was produced by Andreas Herbig and Peter Seifert . The latter also arranged and mixed the song. The single was released and distributed under the music labels Universal Music Group and Vertigo Berlin . On the cool cover of the maxi single you can see - in addition to artist name and song title - Bourani's upper body in a cloud of fog .

Publication and promotion

Eisberg was first published on September 23, 2011 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland . The physical maxi single was released as a 2-track single and contains, in addition to the single version, an acoustic version of Eisberg as the B-side .

In order to promote the song, he performed live at a live concert broadcast by Westdeutscher Rundfunk , where he sang his song with the German songwriter Philipp Poisel . In the years that followed, Eisberg was a popular piece on talent shows .

Bundesvision Song Contest 2011

In order to promote the song and himself, Bourani entered the Bundesvision Song Contest 2011 for his state of Bavaria . Eisberg reached position 47 in the single charts in Germany and stayed in the charts for a total of eight weeks. In Austria, the single reached position 56 in the charts in one week. In Germany, the single immediately hit the charts after its release. In Austria, the single reached the charts for the first time after an appearance by Richard Schlögl, in the third live challenge show from Deutschland sucht den Superstar .
