Buddy Buxbaum , bourgeois Bartosch Jeznach (born May 15, 1977 in Szczecinek , Poland ) is a German musician , music producer and rapper . He is a founding member of the band Deichkind , then also under the alias Buddy Burito and Buddy Inflagranti .

Career

Buxbaum founded the band Deichkind in 1997 together with Philipp Grütering (alias Kryptic Joe) and Malte Pittner . After leaving Deichkind in 2008, Buxbaum initially retired into private life. In an interview with Focus he stated that, in his opinion, the band had developed in the wrong direction, that he couldn't do much with electro and techno and that the music therefore no longer suited his taste.

After a break of several years, during which he said he had to work from job to job, he initially tried unsuccessfully as a music producer. He then worked on his own album over a period of three years. In March 2015 the EP Ballast was released on his own label Holo Rec. In addition to the songs Ballast and Medicine , this release included remixes by well-known musicians ( Dexter , Shawn Lee , Klaus Johann Grobe and the Hamburg producer ILL Will). In the music video for Ballast , Peter Behrens , the former drummer of the band Trio , can be seen as the protagonist. In the same year the album Unbreakable was also released . On August 29, 2015, Buxbaum took part in the 11th Bundesvision Song Contest for the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and took second to last place.

He lives in Hamburg .
