Dexter (* 1983 in Heilbronn , actually Felix Göppel ) is a German hip-hop - producer and rapper.
Life
During his school days in the late 1990s, he began producing his own tapes with friends in order to have music for self-written rap lyrics. His stage name Dexter , the Latin term for right , also comes from this time . Even if Dexter claims to not remember the exact origin of the name, he suspects that it goes back to his handicap of only being able to scratch with his right hand. As part of the Heilbronn Wortsport crew, he has produced numerous instrumentals for befriended rappers. For his productions he mainly uses samples from the field of jazz . Since 2008 he has been releasing his own albums on the label WSP Entertainment , which emerged from Wortsport , which attracted the attention of rappers Casper and Cro , for whom he produced music in 2011 and 2012. In 2012 he teamed up with Suff Daddy and Brenk Sinatra , who like him had already released albums within the Hi-Hat Club series, to form the producer trio Betty Ford Boys , who released a joint album in 2013. He works as a pediatrician in Stuttgart .
With the production of Blood See (Die Vergessenen Pt. 2) on Casper's album XOXO he received the gold record , as well as with the production of Ein Teil auf Raop von Cro a platinum award.
