Audio88 (* 13. January 1983 in Leverkusen as Florian Kerntopf ) is a German hip-hop - MC from Berlin . Another pseudonym of his is one of us . He is part of the rap duo Audio88 & Yassin .

Life

Audio88 was born in Leverkusen and moved to Cottbus in 1992 , where he spent most of his youth. At the age of 16 he came to rap via freestyle and began writing his first lyrics. Audio88 became known through guest contributions in the context of Morlockk Dilemma , Hiob or Retrogott . Together with the latter, he founded the Audiogott project. His rap technique is characterized by frequent omission of conventional rhyme schemes and sarcastic texts.

Audio88 mostly raps on classic MPC productions such as Torky Tork, Dexter or Suff Daddy . He also produces beats himself.

Together with Yassin he has released a total of five albums. The album Normaler Samt , an allusion to Blauer Samt by Torch (and thus indirectly also Grüner Samt by Marsimoto and Lila Samt by Sookee ), reached number 22 in the German album charts, making it the first chart position for the two rappers. On June 17, 2016 the album Halleluja was released, which also made it into the charts at number 19.
