Green Velvet is the third studio album by Marterias Alter Ego Marsimoto. It was released on Friday, January 13, 2012 via Four Music . The album entered the charts at number 3 in the first week of sales. The album title is a reference to Torch's groundbreaking German rap release " Blauer Samt ".

In advance, on Christmas Eve 2011, a film for the album was released on Vimeo , in which many tracks from the album are already represented.

Cover

The cover was taken in Iceland by photographer Paul Ripke . It is a rocky landscape overgrown with moss. One of Marsimoto's trademarks, the mask, was placed on a rock. The name of the artist and the name of the album are shown on the cover. A limited edition was released with a cover made of green velvet.
