Robot cook

Robot Koch (born October 7, 1977 in Kassel ; real name Robert Koch ) is a music producer living in Los Angeles . He became known as the producer of the group Jahcoozi , who release on the Berlin label BPitch Control , before he was able to establish himself as a solo artist under the name Robot Koch.

Life

Koch came to electronic music through hip hop and expanded his musical spectrum to include DJing and the production of electronic music. In 2002 he met Sasha Perera and Oren Gerlitz, with whom he founded the band Jahcoozi . After two albums on the Berlin label Project Mooncircle ( Death Star Droid and Songs For Trees And Cyborgs ) and numerous EPs, he was on tour worldwide. In 2011 his new album The Other Side was released on Project: Mooncircle.

Robot Koch is also active as a composer for other artists. He produced Verstrahlt von Marteria and the album Home Work Soul for Max Mutzke . In 2013 the album OK Kid by the band of the same name was released, which Robert Koch co-produced with Sven Ludwig.

The producer has lived in Los Angeles since the end of 2013. His music has been featured in US television series such as The Blacklist and How to get away with murder . In addition, his version of The Mamas and the Papas song California Dreamin was used for the trailer for the film San Andreas .

Others

For the “Tree Concert” campaign, with which BUND wanted to draw attention to the shrinking tree population in Berlin, Robot Koch created a remix that every donor received free of charge. The campaign was awarded two gold and five bronze lions at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival .
