Do you dream? is a song by German New German Hardness - band Oomph! , in cooperation with the Czech singer Marta Jandová . The piece is the second single from their third compilation album Delikatessen and the winner of the Bundesvision Song Contest 2007 .

The song was recorded, composed and produced by Oomph! Members Andreas Crap, Robert Flux and Dero Goi . The single was mixed by Flux. The single was released under the music labels GUN Records and Sony Music Entertainment . On the cover of the maxi single - next to the inscription of the artist and the song title - a schoolgirl can be seen with her head bowed on the table.
Publication and promotion
The single was first published on February 9, 2007 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland . In addition to the radio version , the maxi single also includes a remix version and the accompanying music video of Träumst du Träumst? , as well as the songs Forever and Open Your Eyes! (live) , as B-side . There are four different maxi singles in total, all of which differ in terms of the number of tracks and the selection of B-sides. Do you dream was previously recorded in a solo version without Jandová and released on the ninth studio album GlaubeLiebeTod .

The lyrics to are you dreaming? is written entirely in German. Both the music and the text were written by Andreas Crap, Robert Flux and Dero Goi. The song deals with a suicide date by falling together .

Music video
The music video for are you dreaming? was shot in a school building . You can see Jandová playing a very revealingly dressed teacher . In her classes she uses the forbidden corporal punishment in very lascivious and ambiguous poses. In between, you can see excerpts of the school caretaker who has installed a hidden camera in Jandová's classroom and “gets excited” about it. The total length is 4:05 minutes. Directed by Oliver Sommer, it was produced by AVA Studios.
Federal Vision Song Contest 2007
Oomph! and Marta Jandová won the Bundesvision Song Contest 2007 for Lower Saxony with nine points ahead of the Hamburg musician Jan Delay with the song Feuer (138 points). While the points were awarded in all 16 federal states , the two opponents set themselves apart relatively early on with a small margin from their fellow competitors, but in the end Oomph! and Jandová claim the final spurt for themselves. In addition to their home in Lower Saxony, they also got full points from Rhineland-Palatinate . This was the third edition of the Bundesvision Song Contest .
For Marta Jandová this is the second participation in the third edition of the Bundesvision Song Contest . In 2005 she took part together with Apocalyptica and the title Wie weit für die Bundesland Baden-Württemberg . Together they finished fifth with 77 points.
For promotional purposes, every artist shoots an election commercial for participation in the BuViSoco. In this one are Oomph! seen in a rock'n'roll training camp with a Kiss co-association in Braunschweig .

Do you dream? reached position nine in the single charts in Germany and was able to stay in the top 10 for a week and in the charts for nine weeks. In Austria, the single reached position 48 in the single charts in five weeks.
For Oomph! it is after your eyes open! and Brennende Liebe is already the third top 10 success in Germany . It is her eleventh chart success in Germany and the sixth in Austria. For Jandová it is the first top 10 success in Germany. After much How? it is her second chart success in Germany and Austria.
