Marlon (born August 19, 1987 in Berlin ; real name Marlon Knauer ) is a German singer.

Live and act

Knauer was born in Berlin, lived with his parents on Gran Canaria for a while and now lives in Hanover . At the age of 14 he was discovered by Rolf Brendel , Nena's ex-drummer . In 2002 he achieved his breakthrough with his second single Lieber Gott , which he recorded together with German music greats such as Peter Maffay , Nena , Udo Lindenberg , Herbert Dreilich , Joachim Witt and Rolf Stahlhofen . The single, which was recorded as a benefit single and the net proceeds of which went to the victims of the flood disaster in 2002 , climbed to number 6 in the German charts. In the same year his debut album Hello Dear Life was released .

After graduating from school, he started making music again, which he explains as follows: "I had the feeling that making music is no longer just a wish or a dream, but really a part of me, of my life."

In January 2006 his single Whatever you want was released under the band name “Marlon” , with which he took sixth place for Lower Saxony on February 9, 2006 at the Bundesvision Song Contest .

In spring 2008, Marlon founded the band “Stabil” together with Dennis Fechter (guitar) and Willy Klinger (bass). They recorded demos and had management support. But on December 23, 2008 the band broke up due to personal differences.

Since 2016 Marlon has been performing live again, as a German songwriter, with his own new pieces and songs from his old repertoire.
