action

Otto and Anna Quangel join the resistance against National Socialism in Berlin in the 1940s when their son is killed in the French campaign . They write and distribute anti-fascist postcard leaflets. It was only after years of searching that the Gestapo succeeded in tracking them down and arresting them. You will be sentenced to death in a trial before the People's Court . Otto Quangel is executed, his wife Anna is killed on death row in a bomb attack. Trudel Baumann, the friend of Quangel's son, the old Jew Lore Rosenthal and the Nazi-minded old Persicke also belong to the Quangels' environment.
