Jeff Hawkins
Jeff Hawkins (* 1. June 1957 in Long Iceland , New York ) is an American IT - entrepreneurs and neuroscientists . Hawkins is a co-founder of Palm Inc. , Handspring, and Numenta, and the Redwood Neuroscience Institute research laboratory (now part of the University of California, Berkeley ). He brought one of the first PDAs - the Palm Pilot he developed - to commercial success. He is interested in research into intelligence in order to use this knowledge to build intelligent machines.
