Jeff Tremaine

Jeffrey James "Jeff" Tremaine (born September 4, 1966 in Rockville , Maryland ) is an American film producer , screenwriter and director . He is best known for the TV series Jackass and its film offshoot , in the production of which he played a major role.

Tremaine developed the idea for Jackass together with Johnny Knoxville and Spike Jonze in 1998, which ran with great success on MTV from 2000 to 2002 and resulted in a series of films in which Tremaine also appeared as a director. From 2003 he also acted as co-creator, director and executive producer for the Jackass spin-off Wildboyz . In 2010 he was co-creator and executive producer of the US offshoot of The Dudesons , The Dudesons in America .

He has been married to Laura Tremaine since 2007.
