Jennie Jacques

Jennie Jacques (* 28. February 1989 in Coventry ) is an English actress . She played her first leading role as Annie Miller in Desperate Romantics , a six-part BBC Two television series about the Pre-Raphaelites that aired in July and August 2009. From 2013 to 2014 she played the lead role of WPC Gina Dawson in the BBC series WPC 56 . Since 2015 Jacques has played the recurring role of Anglo-Saxon Queen Judith in the television series Vikings .

Early life

Jacques was born in Walgrave Hospital and grew up in Coventry, Leamington Spa and Warwick .

Career

Jacques played Katie Fielding in the ITV police series The Bill and the artist model Annie Miller in the BBC two-drama Desperate Romantics . She was cast as Beth in the thriller Cherry Tree Lane and as Ree Ree in the futuristic thriller Shank . Jacques has also appeared in Casualty on BBC1, where she played Lily Knowles, Megan Roach's caregiver, in the August 7, 2010 episode Nice and Easy Does It .

In 2011, Jacques starred in the promotional video for Mason's single Boadicea . She also appeared in the slasher film Demons Never Die , in which she can be seen naked during a sex scene with Robert Sheehan .

Jacques appeared on an episode of Father Brown in 2013 and was then cast as the lead actress on the BBC afternoon series WPC 56 as a police officer at home in the male-dominated world of 1956.

Jacques played Judith , the fictional daughter of King Ælle , from seasons 3 to 5 in the television series Vikings .

In 2015, Jacques played the role of Tash in the ITV - sitcom The Delivery Man , which ran six episodes long.
