Jennifer Gross

Jennifer Groß (also Jenny Groß; born January 25, 1986 in Bendorf ) is a German teacher, politician ( CDU ) and has been a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate since November 1, 2019 .

Life

After graduating from high school in 2005 in Montabaur , Jenny Groß studied German and Catholic theology for teaching at the University of Koblenz . In 2011 she received the second state examination at the Koblenz study seminar.

After attending school in Montabaur and Altenkirchen, she worked from 2015 to October 31, 2019 as a teacher at the Raiffeisen Campus, a private high school in Dernbach .

politics

Groß has been a CDU member since 2005. At the same time she was also active in the Junge Union . From 2006 she was deputy district chairwoman of the JU Westerwald, from 2010 to 2014 the first female chairwoman.

In 2012 she was elected as an assessor on the board of the CDU community association of Montabaur and in 2015 as deputy district chairwoman of the CDU Westerwald, and has since been confirmed in these offices.

Groß moved into the Westerwald district assembly for the first time in 2009 and has been deputy chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group ever since. From 2014 to 2019 she was also a member of the council in the Montabaur community .

Until August 2019, Groß was an electoral district employee for Andreas Nick (CDU), member of the Bundestag .

On November 1, 2019, Jenny Groß became a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament for constituency 6 (Verbandsgemeinden Montabaur, Ransbach-Baumbach, Wallmerod and Wirges). She moved up to replace Gabriele Wieland in the state parliament, who had taken office on the same day as full-time alderman of the Westerwaldkreis.
