Jennifer Schubert (born April 5, 1973 in Essen ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and was a member of the Thuringian state parliament from 2009 to 2014 .

Career

Schubert studied biology in Bayreuth , York and Jena . After graduating with a diploma, she worked, among other things, as an intern at NABU and EU consultant at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena .

From 2003 to 2009, Schubert was the state manager of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in Thuringia. She was also parliamentary group leader of her party in the Jena city council. In the state elections in Thuringia in 2009 , she was number 5 on the state list of her party and moved into the state parliament. Schubert lives with her partner in a registered partnership and has two children.

For the 2014 state elections , she decided not to run again on the state list. She only ran as a direct candidate in the constituency of Greiz I and received 5.2% of the votes.
