Jens-Peter Schwieger (born December 18, 1949 in Ohrsee / Gokels ) is a German trade teacher, politician ( SPD ) and has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament since 2011 .

Life

Schwieger attended the Klaus Groth School in Büdelsdorf from 1956 to 1960 and the Herderschule in Rendsburg from 1960 to 1969 , where he graduated from high school. After an internship in mechanical engineering, he completed a course of trade teaching at the University of Hamburg from 1971 to 1975 . From 1977 he worked as a teacher at the State Trade School Werft und Hafen in Hamburg, and Jens-Peter Schwieger has been retired since 2015. He is also a member of the supervisory board of HANSA Baugenossenschaft e. G.

Schwieger is married and has two children from his first marriage.

politics

Schwieger has been a member of the SPD since 1972. From 1991 to 2001 he was a member of the Wandsbek district assembly and from 2008 to 2011 a deputy of the authority for social affairs, family, health and consumer protection. He was elected in the constituency of Bramfeld-Farmsen-Berne in the 2011 and 2015 mayor elections. He is a member of the Committee for Social Affairs, Labor and Integration and the School Committee of the Citizenship. In 2020 he no longer competed. In 2020 he was awarded the Willy Brandt Medal .
