Jens Eisel
Jens Eisel (* 1980 in Neunkirchen / Saar ) is a German writer .
Life
After training as a locksmith , Jens Eisel worked as a caretaker and warehouse worker as well as a carer for the Diakonie Hamburg-St. Pauli .
After studying at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig , he was a finalist in the Prenzlauer Berg Literature Prize in 2013 and won the Open Mike of the Berlin Literature Workshop with his story Glück that same year .
His debut Hafenlichter was published by Piper Verlag in autumn 2014 . At around the same time, the debut was also published as an audio book, which August Diehl will read to.
Jens Eisel lives with his family in Hamburg .
