Syndicate (anthology)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The syndicate is the anthology of the students of the German Literature Institute Leipzig , which has been published annually since 2003 . The founder and editor of the first two editions was Claudius Nießen . Since the "Tippgemeinschaft 2005" the publishers have changed annually. The design is often carried out by students at the Leipzig University of Graphics and Book Art .

In 2001 Claudius Nießen founded the association "Tippgemeinschaft eV", which not only accompanies the publication of the betting community, but also wants to convey the work of the literary institute to a broad audience. The Connewitz publishing house is responsible for the distribution of the “syndicate” . The new annual anthology is traditionally published at the Leipzig Book Fair in March in an edition of 800 and is usually accompanied by a release party at the German Literature Institute. The 2012 anniversary edition appears for the first time with an enclosed CD.

Perception in the media

As a joint publication of all students of the DLL, the “Tippgemeinschaft” received a first appreciation shortly after the publication of the first edition in 2003 in an article on Spiegel online . The anthology was subsequently mentioned in several articles and contributions. a. in the FAZ , on Jetzt.de (2007) or on 1 Live (2010). In the context of the Leipzig Book Fair in particular, the “betting community” received a lot of media coverage through numerous readings. For some years now, the “Tippgemeinschaft” has established itself as a highly publicized publication site for young authors. With the increasing establishment of the anthology, however, interest in the media has decreased.
