Yevgeniy Breyger (* 1989 in Charkiw ) is a German-language poet, translator and editor.

life and work

Yevgeniy Breyger studied creative writing and cultural journalism in Hildesheim, literary writing at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig and curatorial studies at the State University of Fine Arts - Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main.

In 2014 he published Tippgemeinschaft , the annual anthology of students at the German Literature Institute Leipzig, and in 2017 View of the Shining Roots from Below , the poetry anthology of the German-language literary institutes in Biel, Hildesheim, Leipzig and Vienna. Since 2008 he has published regularly in magazines and anthologies, including: Lyrik von Jetzt 3 (2015), Jahrbuch der Lyrik (2017), For Lack of Evidence (2018), Bella triste , Manuscripts and Edit . His poetry is available in English, Georgian, Romanian and Serbian. He himself translates from English, Georgian, Romanian and Russian into German.

His debut volume volatile monde , published by kookbooks in 2016 , was one of the poetry volumes of the year at the Literaturhaus Berlin and the best poetry debuts of the year at the Haus für Poesie Berlin .

Yevgeniy Breyger is a member of the poets' collective Salon Fluchtentier . He lives and works in Frankfurt am Main.
