Tobias Hülswitt

Tobias Hülswitt (born April 13, 1973 in Hanover ) is a German writer.

Life

After graduating from high school, Hülswitt worked as a stonemason. In 1997 he began studying at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig . During his student days he published the novel Saga and worked for a year as the editor of the literary magazine Edit . Since completing his studies, he has lived as a freelance writer in Berlin. In addition to teaching positions at the University of the Arts Berlin since 2003 - as a lecturer for interactive narration and text in time-based media - he was visiting professor at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig in the summer semester of 2005 and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in 2008 . Tobias Hülswitt occasionally writes for newspapers and magazines (including Standard , Jetzt-Magazin , taz , FAZ , Zeit , Kursbuch ) and is also a co-author of scripts. Together with Florian Thalhofer he organized the series of events Help, Freedom! at the Münchner Kammerspiele , what do you believe in, Europe? with the Goethe-Institut Prague, as well as Will we save the earth? - Talks about the future of technology and the planet in the format of the so-called Korsakowhow. In 2008 the two founded the Korsakow Institute together with Matt Soar .
