Villa Decius
The Villa Decius (Polish: Willa Decjusza ) in Kraków is a Renaissance villa at ul. 28 Lipca 1943 17a on Wolski Forest in the Wola Justowska district .
history
The villa was built between 1530 and 1540 for the royal banker Jost Ludwig Dietz . The villa's architect is unknown, although Giovanni Cini or Bernardino Zanobi de Gianotis are also possible. Sebastian Lubomirski acquired the villa in 1590 . His son Stanisław Lubomirski had Maciej Trapola expand the villa . The owners of the villa were then the noble families Sanguszko , Morzkowski , Wielowiejski , Ledóchowski and Czartoryski . The latter had Tadeusz Stryjeński's villa restored to its original Renaissance condition. During the First World War the villa was converted into a barracks and during the Second World War it was converted into a police station. In 1996 it was restored and serves, among other things, as a registry office.
